1. Organize and control the financial activities:
- Financial transactions recording : Ensures all financial transactions activities related to accounts receivable, accounts payables are checked and recorded on timely manner. Ensure 3 way match principle for invoice booking.
- Internal control: Develops and implement procedures and system of internal controls in the areas of: financial, treasury, tax matters . Ensure all transactions follows Chart of authorisations. - Financial and Costing reports and budgeting : Prepare and report monthly actuals, Quarterly estimates, Annual budget financials on timely basis. Prepare and report costing data to mangement team.
- Accouting systems and tools: Ensure all transactions are handled through SAP, no exceptions. Check reports in CFIN and SAP-Business warehouse.
2. Management representative with external parties in financial and tax matters:
- Annual accounts and Audits: Ensures all financial activities are in compliance with the group policies and local statutory requirements. Prepare annual financial statements, cordinate with Auditors.
- Banking operations: Execute all Banking operations, viz : ensure timely payment to vendors local and import payments, collections are recorded on timely basis. Deal with Bankers on Banking operations. Open Letter of credits, Bank guarantees, send documents for collections to Banks. Handle Petty cash.
- Tax matters: Cordinate with Group tax and local consultants on tax matters viz. Import duty, VAT, Corporate tax, DTAA, PIT,Withholding tax etc.
3. Develop and coach people to ensure the competent resources are available in the financial-admin. Organization:
- Coaching and development planning: Monitor, coaches, and guide subordinates to achieve departments and their individual targets as well as give personal development target.
- Manage team: Ensure that subordinates way of working is alligned with Bekaert's requirement.
